We are so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing but thankful he is no longer suffering. Ed’s contributions to our operations team here at FSCJ Deerwood Center were many. With unending demands from all types of personalities Ed kept things working despite the challenges and the need for ‘instant fixes’ of technology and equipment. His contributions were many and he will be fondly missed.

I am very saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. I met Ed in 2015 at FSCJ’s Deerwood Center, and very much appreciated his hard work and dedication. Over the years, we bonded over our love of music. We enjoyed trading stories about concerts that we attended, and he loved to talk about how much fun he had bringing his grandson along to shows. Ed, thank you for your friendship, you will be missed.

I am saddened to learn about the loss of such a great guy. Ed was a wonderful support to me as I navigated the challenges associated with emerging technology. He was quick to stop by and assist, always with a great sense of humor and spirit. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

I am so very very sorry to hear about the passing of Ed. I have very fond memories of him from when our paths crossed at the Deerwood Center. He was always nice to me, a new faculty member who did not receive much of a welcome from the college. I felt I could always turn to him with questions and he was always ready and willing to help. I only wish I had had the time to know him better.

Ed spent a lot of time working on the technology in Deerwood Center Library especially in our computer classrooms. We were all so grateful for his knowledge and expertise. He will be missed here at Deerwood.

Oh man oh man Ed was a good one and will certainly be missed! He was one of the first people I met at the college… that gruff voice was a little intimidating until he started whistling or humming a tune while fixing whatever computer issue I was having that week. At Deerwood I oversaw a small but mighty workforce consisting of Tech Support and a few other areas. I grew to really appreciate Ed’s presence and dependability. We could all learn something from him and how he never took anything tooooo seriously but also always gave his best. In the last 6 months I was blessed to have found a new level of friendship with him as he called me out of the blue one day. It was if he knew I needed to hear some of his wisdom and perspective on life… I really did! We talked a few more times after that anywhere from movies, family, past careers, mistakes we’ve made and what’s really important when you get near the end. I cherish those last few conversations dearly and know his world revolved around his deep love for his family more than anything else. My deepest condolences to his family and thank you so much for letting us borrow him for a while at FSCJ. God bless!

I will miss seeing you roaming around Deerwood Center. You had helped me out quite a few times since I have been at Deerwood. Even though at times it may have been “user error” haha. You had a presence here at the center and will be greatly missed. My prayers are with your family. Rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences and prayers go out to the Ed Dilly and his family and friends. When he was at the FSCJ Kent Campus Information Technology support office, he kept us all on course with his ready, available presence and knowledge. He had a sense of humor and a belly laugh that brought a smile to everyone’s faces. Ed will be a part of our memories.
