George Walton Stratton passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 79. George was devoted to his wife Edith and his family and he loved them all dearly.
Geroge was preceded in death by his parents, George and Aquilla Stratton, two brothers, Ronnie and Kenneth Stratton and a sister, Kathryn Henderson.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Edith, his daughter, Rhonda (David) Saxon, son, Eric (Christina) Stratton, and his adoring grandchildren that will always hold a special place in their hearts for their Papa; Ryan (Katie), and Reghan. Also left behind is his stepdaughter, Ericka (Dennis) Horne, and step grandchildren Blayne (Paige) Horne, Bryson (Heather) Horne and Brayden (Kenzie) Horne, his sister, Patsy Nevin as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

I worked with George many years at JEA. He was good hearted and well liked by everyone. He always found a way to make you laugh and loved joking around with fellow employees. May good bless his family in this time of sorrow. Rest in peace my friend!
