Glenn J. Smith entered eternal life on May 21st after a brief courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife of 33 years Florence and his parents G. Glenwood and G. Louise (nee Hausleiter) Smith. Glenn was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston in 1974 with an Engineering degree. He spent the majority of his career working in the Industrial Engineering field for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, Maxwell House Coffee and Rickels Home Improvement. In the late 1980’s he received his degree in IT coding from Chubb Institute and began working for Merrill Lynch as a coder. He relocated to Jacksonville, Florida with Merrill Lynch in 1998 and continued working for them until 2003. He tried his hand as an entrepreneur but eventually landed with Lowes Home Improvement in 2006 until retiring in 2018. Glenn is survived by his brother Kevin and wife Susan, niece Jessica, nephew Ryan, great niece Sydney and great nephew Ryder, cousins Jane, Bruce, Glenn, and Joyce, good friends Russ and Sherry and Teresa, any many other friends and acquaintances. Glenn will be missed by all those who had the opportunity to know him. Services will be private.
