He leaves his wife, Mary E. Greene-Carlin, stepson, Robert Jones and stepdaughter, Molly Jones of Jacksonville, Florida. He also leaves his sons, Christopher Carlin and his wife, Ahn of Webster MA, Shawn Carlin and his wife, Alyssa of Fitchburg MA. and his grandchildren, Gabby, Dylan, Alivia Carlin and step granddaughter Kayla. He leaves two brothers, Joseph and his wife, Harriet, Michael and his wife, Betsy and many nieces and nephews. Jim also leaves his beloved dog, Zoey, who was always by his side and also many friends he was loved by all.
Jim is preceded by his mother, Elizabeth and father, Aloysius Carlin, his first wife Mary A Carlin and his son James F. Carlin Jr
Jim served in the Air Force in Vietnam as an air police officer. Jim loved the town of Shrewsbury. He served as a police officer for 46 years. He loved his job. He loved going to Maine to our camper and spending time with friends and family there. We enjoy many of summer at old orchard beach at Powderhorn campground. He loved our visit to the cape, And winters in Florida. He loved reading, cooking and trying different foods. Jim always had a good story for whoever would listen.
