James Kenneth Pringle, Sr.

July 05, 1943~November 09, 2022

Dr. James K. Pringle was the founder and President of The Agape Lighthouse IN. He was the senior pastor of Agape Christian Church for over 40 years. In promoting unity of churches in the Jacksonville area. He was the president of Arts of Jacksonville Television Station providing an outreach medium for many local churches over the years. Whatever Jim did his slogan was “God’s love is reaching out to you”.

The international aspect of Brother Jim includes ministry trips to the former Soviet Union, England, Ecuador, Brazil, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Latvia and the Philippines. There are still churches in the Philippines that receive monthly support from Agape. The times of ministry overseas took place in churches, Bible College, crusades and pastor conferences. Wherever he went his “can do” attitude inspires and encourages believers.

Pastor Jim was the youngest son in his family and was preceded in death by all his siblings. Leaving him the patriarch over many nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle Jimmy.

His wife Rita will no longer be able to co-pastor with Jim, but she will assume his ministry positions. Their son James Kenneth Pringle, Jr. was a help and close companion with his dad over the past few months of his illness. He was blessed as Papa to have a few visits from his granddaughters, Raina and Aster Pringle.

Pastor Jim leaves behind a loving and caring church membership who learned from the word of God by his many sermons of “Get in the word”. He touched many lives through the years on ministry and was a pastor to many in the Duval and Clay counties. His parting words to you would be “Remember whatever the situation is in your life, God’s love is still reaching out to you”. Today he can sing from Heaven vocalist James Brown “I Feel Good Just Like I Knew That Would”.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 with Rev. Nicholas Simonic officiating followed by interment in Jacksonville Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00PM

I consider myself truly blessed to sit under pastor Jim’s teaching of the Word of God. I learned so much in the past 11 years. But what stands out the most is Pastor Jim and Pastor Rita truly know how to LOVE well. Interesting as I write this post, Jesus said, “The greatest of these is to love one another.” Well done Pastor Jim! All of heaven is rejoicing over you! You will ALWAYS be in my heart and will see you again one day. I love you and pastor Rita so very much! ❤️

Pastor Jim was a caring and thoughtful man. He was a man of integrity and a wonderful Pastor. He taught us to trust in God’s word and encouraged us in the knowledge that we were greatly loved by our Heavenly Father. I rejoice knowing he is with Jesus but his presence will be missed by all on earth who were so blessed to have known him. Thank you Pastor’s Jim and Rita for your years of dedication to our Lord and his people.

Pastor Pringle will always hold a place in my heart. He always loved both my children Joshua and Julia with all his heart and that meant the world to me. At times Julia had hard times with people reaching her but Ms. Rita and Pastor Pringle could always reach her no matter what. I will miss you with all my heart and then some Pastor Pringle. I love you to infinity and beyond and more than that!!! I know you’re celebrating in Heaven!!! ♥️????♥️
