On January 19, 2022, Janie Marie McCoy, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, and Sister passed away after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 55 years old. She will be forever remembered and loved by her family and dear friends. She had a huge heart, loved singing, and could light up a room with her laugh and smile. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Kirk McCoy, and Arnold McCoy. She is survived by her mother and father, Carolyn “Sue” McCoy and Douglas “Archie” McCoy, daughters, Brittney Davis, and Raycine Oaties (McCoy), son-in-law Derrick Oaties, granddaughters Nevaeh Oaties and Heaven Oaties, brother Henry McCoy Sr., sister Cynthia Bergesch, significant other Thomas “Earl” Tapley, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on January 30, 2022, Visitation 6:00 Pm -8:00 Pm at Fraser Funeral Home Chapel 8168 Normandy Blvd. 32221, Graveside Service on January 31,2022 1:00 Pm at Riverside Memorial Park 7242 Normandy Blvd. 32205

Throughout the many years, Janie was that special friend that felt what you were. Happy, sad, lonely, she could brighten up your day with a smile. Janie would even help you stomp all the water out of a puddle and knew why. She was always the sister I never had. I know that song you hum!

When I received the news of your passing I was in shock. My mind raced back in time to our high school years. To the both of us becoming Mom’s and living two doors down from each other for years. I will always remember the love you had for both your girls that now have grown up to be beautiful young ladies like their Mother. Janie I’m still in disbelief you were taken to soon from all of us. But I will always remember your smile and your laugh and the love you showed everyone. R.I.P. my beautiful friend until we meet again give my Dad a hug for me and tell him I love him and miss him to.
