Joann Causey Stafford, 90, went to her eternal home with Jesus peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

She was born on February 3, 1933 in Alamo, Georgia to Joseph and Josephine Causey. Joann graduated from Lee High School in June of 1951. She held several jobs after graduation which included being a secretary and a school bus driver. Later on she went to school and became a Beautician and lived her dream of owning her own salon called Joann’s Magic Brush. In 1982, she went to work as a Carrier with the US Postal Service where she retired in 1998. Joann was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus and served as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, choir member and in many other capacities over her years as a member at Jones Road Baptist Church.

Joann is preceded in death by her husband John Riley Stafford, daughters Alice Joy and Joni Melissa Stafford, father Joseph Benjamin Causey, mother Josephine Causey and sister Shirley Faye Manser.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy Corbitt (Mike), Marci Arguelles, son Andrew Stafford (Kathy), grandchildren include Kristi Rosepiler (Robbie), Michael Corbitt, Jr. (Brooke), Christopher Dupree (Taylor), Jennifer Henry (Josh), Melissa Field (Adam), Jordy Stewart, Audrey Coffman (John), great grandchildren include Jonathan, Jordan, Hunter and Lauren Rosepiler, Brett and Zoey Corbitt, Nicole, Ryder and Beau Dupree, Makiah Redhead, Easton and Charlee Henry, Brody Rae, Serenity Miller, Penelope Field, Brett and Sophia Stewart and Easton Coffman.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 28th at 11 am in the Chapel of Fraser Funeral Home (Normandy Boulevard), followed by internment at Brandy Branch Cemetery in Bryceville, Florida. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service (10:00 am – 11:00 am).
