John Diangelo Wright

John Diangelo Wright was born to the late Milton and Julie C. Collins on September 25, 1970, in Atlanta, Georgia. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

John received Christ on May 9, 1983, under the leadership of Reverend William Lavant at Bethel Baptist Church of Sweetwater, and was also a member of the youth choir.

He graduated from Edward H. White High School in 1990 where he played football and participated in the ROTC.

John had a true love and passion for cooking and loved to see others enjoying the fruits of his labor. He was an avid lover of football and was a huge fan of FSU, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Atlanta Falcons.

He joined the U.S. Army at the tender age of 19 and served in Operation Enduring Freedom beginning October 2001. Upon completion of his tour of duty, John re-enlisted as a reservist due to his love for his country.

John leaves to cherish his memories and is survived by his mother, Julie C. Collins, Brother, Donald L. Wright, (Machelle), Brother, Milton S. Wright (DeKevia Williams), and sister Adrienne M. Wright (Dr. K.M. Perry), along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
