Juanita Dixon Wright, 93, of Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully into her Eternal Home on October 21, 2023. She was born in Blackshear, Georgia on April 1, 1930, to the late William Mack Dixon and Corinthia Idella Strickland Dixon. Her family moved to Jacksonville when she was a child.
Juanita’s family was her heart; she had six sisters and three brothers. She worked in the family business C.W. Wright Floor Finishing for many years. Juanita retired from Barnett Bank Murray Hill as a bank teller. She enjoyed spending time with her children and their families. She taught her children to know and love the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Winfred Wright, her three brothers, six sisters, two sons in laws, Maurice Hannaford and James Ussery, and a granddaughter, Johannah Joyce.
Juanita is survived by her children; three daughters, Linda Wright Hannaford of Folkston; Janell Wright Ussery, and Christie Joyce (Billy) of Jacksonville, a son Kenneth Dale Wright (Barbie) of Jacksonville, five grandchildren Sandra Hannaford Reese (Marvin), Matthew Wright (Kim), Kyle Wright, Brandy Warner (Jeremy), James Simmons (Erin), 12 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation for family and friends at 1:00 p.m. with the service following at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Redemption Church, formally Hyde Park Baptist Church (2000 Lane Avenue South, Jacksonville, Florida 32210). Pallbearers will be Dale Wright, Matt Wright, Kyle Wright, Jacob Wright, Jeremy Warner, and James Simmons. After the service, we invite family and friends to the Redemption Church Social Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redemption Church or Douglas Community Hospice.

God Bless and lift you all in His care . I was so happy as she did better and saw you all on Sundays . A special heart and love she had .. know she was loved . .
