Julie Christine Jaillet

December 26, 1956~December 02, 2022

Julie Christine Ketchie Jaillet was born on December 26, 1956 to Helen & Hugh Ketchie in Jacksonville, FL. She left this Earth to be with her Lord & Savior on December 2, 2022, just 24 days shy of 66 years old. She graduated from Edward White High School, class of 1974. She attended college at Florida Junior College of Jacksonville & the University of North Florida. Majority of her working years were spent at Sprint, VyStar, & Citi. During her time with us, she loved being a mother, grandmother, & great-grandmother. She was the matriarch and the rock that everyone around her leaned on. Her love was unconditional, & no matter what the circumstances she would always welcome her wayward family home with open arms. She took pride in the accomplishments of her family and lived her life serving others. When illness, accident, or hardship struck, it was Julie, or Nanny as her family called her, who ran to the aid of whoever needed her. She was a lover of country music, & any song that her Grandson Robert Jordan sang. She was a true crime junkie. The only team that existed in her world was the Florida Gators. She loved to travel, especially to visit her son PJ, Daughter in law Somer, & Granddaughter Ashlin. She kept Amazon in business, they will surely feel her loss like the rest of us. On any given weekend, you would find Nanny at her great-grandson Mason’s baseball games cheering him on loudly or trying new restaurants with her granddaughter/Best Friend Taylor. The sound of Zayleigh & Granger’s laughter was her favorite thing to listen to. During her last year of life, her health took a sharp decline, & she was truly miserable. Her family, although missing her terribly, is at peace knowing that she is in Heaven with Jesus and is no longer suffering here on Earth. The people who knew Julie loved her, and we lost our Mother, Grandmother, great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt, friend, confidant, cheerleader, & safe haven. In this time of great sorrow, Nanny would want us all to turn to Jesus & find comfort in him- “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.” -Isaiah 43:2. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Ketchie, & her brothers Steve Ketchie & Jimmy Ketchie. She is survived by her mother Helen Ketchie, her son Paul (Somer) Jaillet, daughters Gina Zarzycki & Tina Benecke, grandchildren Taylor (James) McQuaide, Jordan Zarzycki, Ashlin Jaillet, Hannah Zarzycki, Cheyenne Benecke, great-grandchildren Mason McQuaide, Granger McQuaide, & Zayleigh Woodward, and many siblings, nieces, nephews, & friends.

Julie was a sweet soul. I always enjoyed her stories of her family and loved that smile. We worked together at Citi and she was always eager to help when needed and with that smile on her face. God will comfort her now.❤️

Julie had just posted last week on my husband Howards obituary and reminded me that she was with me the night I met Howard and she was the first one I told that I was in love and we were getting married. We were family. The girls taught my daughter to dance and PJ (Paul) and Russ played ball and Nintendo. Whenever Julie and I talked she loved talking about her family. Her nickname was Just Julie because when she would call me (no cells back then) she would leave a message saying “it’s just Julie” so my husband started calling her Just Julie. I love you Julie and I know you and Howard are pain free. RIP my friend.
