Katherine Louise Brown, age 75 of Jacksonville Florida, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday Oct 1st 2020.
Katherine was born in Walterboro S.C on September 1st 1945. She attended Cottageville High School in Cottageville S.C. and later moved to Jacksonville Fla. She worked in the ceramic tile business and was the 1st woman in Jacksonville to own her own tile company B&S (Brown & Son) Tile Co. She worked in the tile industry for about 25 years and retired as the showroom coordinator at Fleming and Son Tile Co. She enjoyed fishing, going to flea markets and attending church, which she did regularly until her health started to decline.
Katherine is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James L Brown. She is survived by her 2 sons and their spouses -David Brown (Lillian), Robert Brown (Annamarie), 3 grandsons -Robert Brown Jr. (Cheri), Dylan Brown, Chase Brown, 2 granddaughters- Christian Brown, Taylor Brown, 1 great granddaughter- Paisley Mae Brown, a niece and a great nephew.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5-8p.m. at Fraser Funeral Home 8186 Normandy Blvd in Jacksonville Florida. A Going Home Celebration will be held at the Lodge of Evangel Temple 5755 Ramona Blvd on Thursday October 8th at 11a.m. Pastor Garry Wiggins will be officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1p.m.
