Kathleen Brown, age 93, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 11, 2020. Mrs. Brown is a native of Glenwood, Ga. and has resided in Jacksonville, Fl. since 1947 where she raised her family and retired from Sears after over 30 years of employment. Mrs. Brown was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by her 2 daughters June Burke (James), Helen Jones (Gregory); 1 brother Carl, 4 sisters Muriel, Eloise, Sara, Nina; 7 grandchildren Susan (Mark), Jennifer (Stuart), Kathryn (Andrew), Kellie (Wayne), Heather (Brent), Michelle (Alex), Annie; 10 great-grandchildren Amy (Michael), Robyn, Lauren, Michael, Rebecca, Colton, Adrianna, Miyanah, Kayce, Landyn, and 1 great-great-grandson Gabriel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Tommy L. Brown; parents James and Emaline Clark Sumner; 7 siblings John, Birtie Lee, Valerie, Nettie, Betty, Ruby, Jewel.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 1:00pm at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 1372 Lane Ave S, Jacksonville, FL 32205, with Dr. John Montgomery officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. After the graveside, the family would like to invite you back to the church in the fellowship hall to eat.
