Kenneth (Kenny) Alan Miller of Jacksonville, FL passed away suddenly on Friday afternoon, March 19, 2021. Born in Wildwood, New Jersey to Patricia Ann (Norris) Miller and Harry Ervin Miller on February 23, 1960. He came to settle in Florida approximately 30 years ago, eventually calling Jacksonville, Florida his home. He had many loves in his life. He loved to cook and became a chef at the age of 16. His family had many favorites he cooked for them. Homemade cheesecakes, chipped beef, and he even had a secret recipe for a spaghetti sauce. He lived in Callahan, Florida for many years. He loved the visits from his mother, Pat, when she came to Florida from New Jersey at least once to twice a year. His next career began in Florida due to his love of the water. He became a commercial fisherman and pursued a bounty of Blue Crab in the St. John’s River, the Gulf of Mexico near the Suwanee River, or Fernandina Beach. He was a member of the Celebration Church, though not an active member recently. Eventually he decided to search for “the” someone to love for rest of his life. In December 2013, he asked someone out 3 times before she said yes. Love grew and Connie Hartley, Jacksonville, became his fiancé’ on October 23, 2019. The wedding had to be postponed due to COVID. Finally, they had begun discussions on an April wedding.
Kenny leaves behind his loving fiance’ Connie Hartley. Two daughters, Samantha Warby and Jaimie Lynne Miller, and one son, Kenneth A. Miller, Jr., all living in Virginia. His precious mother, Patricia Miller; 3 brothers, Harry Miller, James Miller, and Brian Miller; 2 Sisters, Kimberly Shibles, Denise (Jimi) Cox; and 4 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews all of whom he bragged about to many. In addition he had a lifelong friend of 40 years, his “brother” from another mother, Henry Minner
He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Ervin Miller.
Visitation and viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm. Private visitation for immediate family on Thursday March 25, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221. Graveside Services will start at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N. Main St. Jacksonville, FL 32206. Pastor Kenneth Webb and Pastor David Deen will be officiating.
