On September 7, 2023, Larry Wayne Carter of Lake City, FL passed away at the age of 52, following a lengthy battle with chronic illness. He was born June 7, 1971 in Jacksonville, FL to Larry and Edith Carter. Larry Wayne was a disabled veteran of the United States Army and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his parents, his brother John (Ashley) and his nephews, Andrew and Jack.
Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 with Dr. Hershell Spears officiating followed by US Army Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Larry Wayne will be laid to rest in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 11:30AM.
