Lillie Belle Abbott, age 101, passed away October 17, 2022. Lillie was born in Cochran, Georgia on October 27, 1920. She was a life long member of First Coast Baptist Church, previously Jacksonville Baptist Temple, where she used to work in the kitchen. She also worked as the bookkeeper for the family Building Company. But, her favorite job was being a mother and grandmother. Her family was so important to her and her greatest treasure.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Leonard L. Abbott, her mother, Sarah Hickox, a sister, Betty (Lucy) Raulerson and a great grandson, Brandon Johnson. She is survived by her three children; Freddie Abbott, Patricia Johnson and Barbara Nelms, 9 grandchildren, Tim Johnson (Tina), Teresa Abbott Bowman (Joel), Kevin Johnson, Lenny Abbott (Shari), David Abbott, Lisa Hall (David), Jeff Johnson (Melissa), Cindy Smith and Luke Nelms. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11:00AM in First Coast Baptist Church, 7587 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32244 with Rev. Ray Mayfield officiating followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32221 on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00pm
