Mae Cleone Dodd, age 82, of Jacksonville Florida passed away July 20, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital. Cleone was born in Telfair County, Georgia on November 9, 1939 to the late Beatrice West Salter and William Roswell Pounds. Cleone moved to Jacksonville in 1942 and is a graduate of Paxton High School. In 1957 she met Robert H Dodd whom she would go on to marry November 22,1958, they were married for 63 long years and had 3 children, Robert Alan Dodd, Susan Dodd Evans and Melissa Dodd Simmons. In her free time Cleone enjoyed learning about her family tree through genealogy, planning her high school reunions, staying in contact with her classmates, cooking for her loved ones and keeping the roads hot! Cleone is proceeded in death by her father William Pounds, Mother Beatrice Salter, Stepfather Dave Salter, Brothers Ronnie, Harry, Jerry and Jack, Daughters Susan and Melissa Grandson Bobby Dodd and Husband Robert Dodd. She is survived by her son Robert Alan Dodd, Sister Patsy Fautt, Aunt Ann Bachler, Granddaughters Rebecca Dodd, Alicia Coon, Lisa Taylor, Ashley Martinez and April Simmons. As well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, once information is available it will be posted.
