Megan N. Loveland

Megan N. Loveland

October 10, 1987~December 15, 2023

Megan was a proud Jacksonville native and grew up on the westside. She graduated from First Coast Christian School in 2006 where she spent 13 years as a student. While at FCCS, she played volleyball, basketball, and softball. She served in student government, participated in speech competitions and was a member of multiple honor societies. It was also at FCCS that she met Michael Loveland, her high school sweetheart and future husband.

After high school Megan attended the University of North Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Megan was always known as a hard worker, and she never took no for an answer. She held many jobs in the sales and retail industry beginning in high school. In these roles, she excelled due to her friendliness, confidence, and leadership skills. Megan has held the position of Transportation Manager at Nivel Parts & Manufacturing since 2020.

Megan married Michael in May 2012 and in May 2015, they welcomed their daughter, Olivia.

In her free time, Megan loved to be with the people she cared about most— her friends and family. Most weekends you would find her watching sports, going out with friends or enjoying date nights with Michael. Megan was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Jaguar fan, and she never missed a chance to watch a game. She loved to cook and was always known to be the planner and caretaker amongst her group of friends earning her the nickname “Momma Meg.”

Megan began her battle with melanoma in August 2021. The last two years have been filled with many ups and downs as she faced her diagnosis with confidence, stubbornness, and strength in a way that only Megan could! Through each and every treatment, scan and procedure she remained positive and optimistic even when she was tired and feeling low. She never gave her cancer power over her.

The last two months, Megan lived her best life. Taking a fun trip as a family to Georgia to watch her beloved Bulldogs play in Athens, planning dinners and gatherings with friends, and spending time with Michael and Olivia- creating priceless memories along the way.

Her outlook up to the end of her life was a true testament to who Megan was to everyone she met- Confident. Determined. A fighter. She never gave up. She never quit. She was faithful to God’s plan, always.

She will be SO missed as a mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend and as so many things to so many people. Megan’s life touched and will continue to touch countless people.

Megan’s Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, December 21 at Westside Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10am with the service starting at 11am. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to fightingpretty.org in Megan’s honor.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Megan Loveland during this difficult time. She was such a gentle and kind individual. I am grateful to have had the pleasure of getting to know and work with her over the last handful of years.

Don’t think of her as gone away
Her journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of Megan as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and Megan was loved so much.

Megan was one of the most kind and helpful women I knew. In the time that I knew her, she was always smiling, laughing, and sweet. I miss her very much and am so thankful that she was a part of my life.
