Nancy L. Hendrix was born in Washington DC on January 25, 1942, she graduated from Paxon High School and she married her sweetheart Darryl Hendrix, Sr. on September 19, 1962. They were married for 43 years. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Fred Walker and Helen Brooks LaHay, her husband Darryl Hendrix, Sr. her son Michael Hendrix, daughter Christine, brother Ernest (Irene) Walker, brother Frederick James Walker IV and sister Jeanie Lynn Walker.
Nancy loved life and loved to travel. She was passionate about her Elvis Club and was a true fan all her life, she was also a member of the Red Hat chapter here on the Westside of Jacksonville. Nancy loved spending time with family and friends the most and would host back yard pool parties and Barbecue’s. Nancy owned The Trophy Center of West Jacksonville for over 30 years and loved talking to and meeting new clients who usually turned into friends.
Nancy leaves behind son Darryl Hendrix Jr. and daughter-in-law Cindi of Jacksonville. Grandchildren Chris (Dena) Hendrix of Macclenny, Michael Hendrix Jr. (Hannah) of Jacksonville, Christina Hendrix-Massengill (Bodine) of Jacksonville , Mitchell (Sarah) Hendrix of Jacksonville and great grandchildren Blayton, Cali, Kale, Cami, Charlotte, Lawson, Ember and her loving dog KC. Brother Jim (Gloria) Walker of Tallahassee and sisters Dallas Ann Walker-Frost of Callahan, Tina Marie Walker of Interlachen and many nephews and nieces and a host of treasured family and friends.
Funeral services will; be held, Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Old Plank Road Baptist Church, 8964 Old Plank Road, Jacksonville, FL 32220 at 11:00AM with Rev. Larry McGinley officiating followed by interment in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Fraser funeral home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221 from 6:00 -8:00pm Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Have known this lady for a very long time. She will certainly be missed by all that loved and knew her. She was a hard worker and always had a kindness toward everyone. Gone too soon but the Lord was ready for her to come Home.

Aunt Nancy was one of a kind for sure she was always happy and loved her family!! whenever we would gather she would be right up front taking pictures or videoing everyone, back then we always picked on her about it little did we know she was giving us everlasting memories my walls bear witness!! She will be dearly missed but never forgotten!!!! Love you Aunt Nancy
