My deepest condolences to Richard’s family. I met Richard in, of all places, Home Depot. He noticed my 82nd Airborne cap and we stuck up a conversation. He said, “So you’re one of those crazy guys who jumped out of a perfectly good plane huh?” At the time he was wearing his trademark Fedora; that’s something rarely seen, but Richard was a man made to wear one. Over the years we spent quite a bit of time together at his home and on the phone talking. Richard was a man who I was blessed to have met. He will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace my friend.
