Robert Eugene Waters, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on November 2, 2020. He was born on August 8, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida. He is predeceased by his son, Robert Waters, Jr., his sister, Wynelle Blazs and her husband, Julius. He is survived by Elaine, his wife of 58 years; his daughter, Tami, her husband, Keith, and their daughter, Macy; Robert’s wife, Hannah, and their two sons, Langdon and Logan; and 2 brothers: Edwin and his wife, Judy, Wayne and his wife, Jane. He retired after decades as a driver for American Freight Systems and then worked as foreman at Praxair for multiple years. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Blanding Blvd. Baptist Church where he was a faithful member for 39 years. He served as a deacon and was avidly involved in the music ministry of the church. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. and the service will be conducted at 2 p.m. by Pastor David Adair. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his beloved missionaries, the Higgins, through the church directly or its website bbbchurch.net
