Steven James Roberson

February 27, 1971~July 20, 2021

On the morning of Tuesday, July 20th, 2021, Steven James Roberson, beloved husband, father, and son, met his Savior face to face.

Steve trusted the Lord for salvation while in high school and surrendered to the ministry while in college at FCCJ. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministries from Trinity Baptist College in 1994 and was working towards completing a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University.

He was a doting husband to Irene for 26 years, and he was a proud father to Lucy and Peter. He was a loving son and was very close with his parents, Jim and Violet Roberson. Steve loved the Lord Jesus Christ and lived for him wherever he was planted.

He served under Harold Clayton at Tomball Baptist Church in Tomball, TX, and went on to serve the Lord and to work in various positions at Lancaster Baptist School in Lancaster, California; and beloved Beth Haven Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He also served and worked at Sun Coast Baptist Church, Mac/PC Tech-Pro, Oakleaf Baptist Church, Lucas Honda, and Town Center Storage – all in Jacksonville, Florida. Each spot brought growth, learning, and friendship.

Steve is survived by his wife, children, parents, many loving family members and in-laws, and a host of friends, new and old. He is preceded in death by his two sons, Charles Steven and Daniel James. They are all together and well.

Steve will be missed, but we know that because of the salvation and hope we have through Jesus, one day we will see him again.
