Irene Vickers Jenkins, 98, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, in Green Cove Springs, FL. at her home surrounded by family. Irene was born July 7, 1925, in Lee, Florida to William I. Webb and Ellie Thomas Webb.
She loved to fish and sew but most of all she loved her church and the Lord. Irene retired after years as a bookkeeper at the Paint Craft store. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents William I. and Ellie Thomas Webb, her first husband Carl Augusta Vickers, her second husband William Jenkins, her brothers; Vernal Webb and Louie Webb, her daughter, Joan Rosemarie Harrell.
Irene is survived by her son in law. Carl Harrell (Yara); her grandchildren Randy Harrell (Jessica) and Lisa Oshman (Ken); her Great Grandchildren Emily (Blake), Sam, Presley, and Audrey; her Great Great Grandchildren Sophie and Barrett.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7th at 10:00am with Service starting at 11:00am at Westside Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Russell and Bro. Ray Mayfield officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards at Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers may be sent to Westside Baptist Church, 7775 Herlong Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32210. Or in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Westside Baptist Church.
