William Daniel Hayes from Jacksonville, FL. passed away peacefully Friday, January 26th after a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years Maureen Janice Hayes whom he married on Feb 9, 1967, which gave him two sons Maurice Hayes (Amy) also of Jacksonville and Michael Hayes (Sara) from Portland grandkids Joshua Daniel Hayes, Bethany Finch, Arian Vaira. Siblings included Carole Godwin (Mickey), brothers Bob Hayes (Kwanja) and Al Hayes (Susie), many nieces, nephews and cousins and great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his father Roscoe Vance Hayes and mother Rose Lee Hayes. He was born on April 15, 1947, in Pensacola FL into a military family which lead him into the service of his country in United States Navy where he traveled to different parts of the world. After his time in the military, he went into the marine and automotive industry where he became a Master ASE technician and could fix just about anything.
Dan was an avid outdoors man that loved to fish, spend time with friends and family and will be so dearly missed each and every day.
