William J. Jenkins Jr, ag 83, passed away December 10, 2021. William was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He lived in & out of Jacksonville most of his life and retired here 40 years ago. For many years he was in & out of the country serving the military in Germany. Willliam was a Methodist-Christian member of Westside Christian Church, a part of the European Military Intermural Bowling Team, even won the Bowling Military Masters Championship 1973 (Bowled with Don Carter). Also, William achieved Army Commendation Metal at Fort Lee, VA 1978, Jacksonville Bowling Assn, over 30 years winning numerous 300 Awards, he was an avid bowler and fisherman. William retired U.S. Army, 1982 He served 20 years.
William was preceded in death by his parents William & Edith and his brother Wayne Bruce Jenkins. He is survived by his Wife Judith Ann Jenkins, daughter Mitzy Faye Jenkins (Scott), brother Ronald E. Jenkins, and (3) grandchildren Hunter Lee Jenkins (Carter), Hayden Miles Shortall, and Riley Alexander Shortall. Memorial Service will be held 12/28/2021 at 11:00 am Fraser Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be held at 1:00 pm Jacksonville National Cemetery (Lane 2)
