Eugene Sigmund born January 30,1947, passed away April 11th, 2026, in his son's home where he lived the last 2 years of his life. Eugene was a highly decorated Vietnam War Veteran. He is survived by his only son Jason, his brother Herbert Lee, and his grandchildren; Jason Jr, Dwight,and Seth . As well as his only granddaughter Kaylee Jane. Known for his toughness and ferocity his later years were softer. Filled with more laughter smiles and the warmth of a granddaughter's love. And as he always promised he would, Eugene went out of this world on his own two feet. Services will be held at Fraser's Funeral Home on Normandy Blvd on Thursday April 23rd, 2026 between 5&8pm.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dad for 14yrs. From day one he accepted me and loved me. I was only 20 when I met Jason, but Dad never batted an eye. In fact the first time I met him he took me for a walk in his beautiful garden and picked me flowers. The in law part was t existent between us... He was just my daddy. And I will love him and miss for the rest of my life.
Dad it was an honor and a blessing to be the one chosen to take care of you in your final years. Thank you for giving me purpose. It meant more than you know.
