Quincy Wayne Hinote
In the care of
Fraser Funeral Home
Quincy Hinote peacefully entered eternal rest, preceded in death by his beloved mother, Louise Hinote; his father, Hurlen Hinote; and two infant brothers.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Delores Hinote, of Jacksonville, Florida. Quincy and Delores were united in marriage on November 25, 1992, and their marriage was the foundation of his life. Quincy often referred to Delores as his “Queen,” a title he spoke with pride and lived out daily through his love, respect, and unwavering devotion.

Quincy was a loving stepfather to Edward Ray (Danita) Odum Jr., of Jacksonville, Florida, and James Mason Odum, of Hobbs, New Mexico.
He is also survived by his sisters, Frances Hinote Frank of Pensacola, Florida; Linda Hinote Swann of Molino, Florida; and Shirley (Rick) Hinote Harper of Pensacola, Florida; and by his brother, John “Johnny” (Betty) Hinote of Troy, Alabama, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Quincy was a proud grandfather to Jacob (Kristina) Carr of Hastings, Florida; William Clay (Sarah) Stacy of Middleburg, Florida; Sydney Michelle Chadwick Odum of Jacksonville, Florida; and Joshua Todd McGinnis of Green Cove Springs, Florida. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Jayden Carr, Kimberley Zelda Rose Stacy, Macy Rae Odum, Henrick Carr, Nolan Wayne Odum, and Huxley Carr.

A devoted member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church for more than 15 years, Quincy found strength in his faith and fellowship with his church family. He was a hardworking man who spent more than 15 years as a supervisor at a steel mill and also worked as a skilled brick mason and plumber. Known as a man of many talents, he took pride in working with his hands and doing honest work.

In his free time, Quincy loved working out at the gym five to six days a week and enjoyed fishing and hunting—activities that reflected his love for the outdoors, strength, and discipline. Above all, he treasured time spent with his wife and family, which brought him the greatest happiness.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 30, at North Jacksonville Baptist Church, 8531 N. Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32218. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.

In Lieu of Flowers
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Quincy’s honor be made to North Jacksonville Baptist Church to support construction of the new Children’s Building

Psalm 23:1–6 (King James Version)
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Mr.Quincy was the very first neighbor we met when we started our renovation on our home we purchased, always kind, a listening ear, and never judging, but always having a story to share. Every Saturday morning, like clock work he would cut the grass so when one Saturday he didn't, I was right over to ask😊 he had a little bug Mrs. Delores cared to add. He was an inspiration to all, I'd often tell my husband if Mr Quincy can do it at his age so can you, He was SuperMan!! Mr. Quincy, we'll keep feeding the birds with the bird feeder you gave us, we Love You

Quincy and I were one year apart. He was like my guardian angel if I got in trouble and got sent to my room he’d go to his room and when I was told I could go outside and play and he will come out of his room and we’d go outside and swing until we were called in for dinner. He was my second shadow always looked after me. You were very close. Loved him so much.
