You were not always near in miles,
But you were never far in spirit.
Your life was built in steady steps—
For family, for love, for country.

I watched from a distance sometimes,
Yet the path you walked was clear.
A man who gave his days in service,
Holding others above himself.

Your strength was not loud or boastful,
But written in the life you lived—
In the love you gave your children,
In the devotion you gave your wife.

And though our time together was small,
The respect I held was immeasurable.
A brother in blood,
A hero in the quiet ways that matter most.

Your legacy lives in those you loved,
In the values you carried every day.
And in my heart,
Your example will always remain.
