Obituary for Réal Joseph Cleophas Bureau Sr.
Réal Joseph Cleophas Bureau Sr., age 84, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away
peacefully on June 11, 2026.
Born on January 1, 1942, in St. Victor de Beauce, Quebec, Canada, Réal lived a life
defined by hard work, dedication, and a vibrant spirit. A proud sheet metal worker, he
built a successful career in the trade through the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and
Transportation (SMART) Union, earning the respect and friendship of countless
co-workers throughout the years.
Réal was known for his outgoing personality, sense of humor, and genuine love for
people. He was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in creating lasting
memories with those he loved. Whether exploring Florida’s natural springs in his quest
to visit as many as possible, enjoying outdoor games such as horseshoes, cornhole,
and bocce ball on the beach, or simply spending time with family and friends, Réal
embraced life with enthusiasm and joy.
His greatest happiness came from being a husband, father, grandfather, and
great-grandfather. He especially cherished his grandchildren and delighted in taking
them on what he fondly called an “adventure,” creating memories they will treasure
forever.
Réal is survived by his sons, Réal Bureau Jr. (Angela) of Baldwin, Florida, and Brandon
Bureau (Shannon) of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandsons, Clayton Bureau (Dannielle)
and Joseph Bureau (Dalys); his granddaughters, Emily Bureau and Ellie Bureau; his
great-grandson, Solomon Bureau; his sisters, Francine Bilodeau and Ghesline Bureau;
and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Charlotte Ann Bureau, as
well as his parents, Louie-Philippe Bureau and Gertrude Bureau.
Réal will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family and
friends, his generosity, and his commitment to making the lives of those around him
better. Those who knew him well always share their favorite 'Réal Sr's story.
His warmth, laughter, and kindness touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed
by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist
Church, 479 Center Street North, Baldwin, Florida 32234.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice in
Réal’s memory.
May Réal’s memory bring comfort, peace, and lasting inspiration to all who mourn his
passing.
